As founder of Revonet, Scott Howard serves as President and CEO. Mr. Howard has had several successful entrepreneurial ventures in his career, which are a credit to his deep rooted understanding of the skills and dedication necessary to successfully grow a business.
For the past twenty years, Mr. Howard has worked in the direct marketing industry. He was founder and president of American Data Consultants (ADC), where he propelled the company from a small start-up to a leading direct marketing firm. When R.L. Polk acquired ADC in 1997, Mr. Howard accepted a role as executive vice president of the newly formed Polk ADC Group, where he created CRM software solutions to produce more effective ways to distribute Polk’s data to its customers.
When Mr. Howard formed Revonet in 1999, his goal was to allow business to business IT companies better target their customers. The company rapidly grew to over 100 employees within four years and was the fourth fastest growing company in Connecticut in 2004, according to Deloitte and Touche.
Mr. Howard has been recognized for many accomplishments during his career. Under his leadership, Revonet won the Microsoft Best Practices Award for Sales Outsourcing in 2001, the Bloomberg Business Award for the "Most Innovative Company to be Successful in 2003" and was nominated for "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Ernst & Young LLP in 2001, 2003 and 2004.
Mr. Howard attended SUNY Brockport and Leeds University in England.
As CFO, Alan Hurwitz is responsible for managing all financial and legal affairs of the company, as well as administrative and operational functions including accounting, financial planning and investor relations.
Prior to joining Revonet, Mr. Hurwitz was CFO of HMonline, a revenue cycle application service provider in the healthcare industry. He was also co-founder, CFO and corporate secretary of PowerSmart, Inc., a spin-off from Duracell, where he was responsible for all accounting, finance, legal, HR, risk management and IT functions.
Mr. Hurwitz played an integral role in the successful sale and integration of PowerSmart into Microchip Technologies during 2002, at a valuation of nearly 40x trailing revenues. Prior to the spin-off, he was responsible for the finances of Duracell’s New Products and Technology division, and managed the company’s global internal audit function.
Before joining Duracell, Mr. Hurwitz was an audit manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Middle Market group, serving public and private enterprises.
Mr. Hurwitz graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BBA degree. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and is an active member of AICPA.
Dr. Al Nigl is responsible for the market research capability at Revonet, and is one of the world’s leading experts in applied behavioral analysis, applied psychophysiology and business-to-business and business-to-consumer research, including market forecast and predictive modeling, consumer market segmentation analysis and database profiling.
Prior to joining Revonet, Dr. Nigl held the position of director of advanced statistics and market research design for the R. L. Polk Co., where he supervised all market research activities including the design and execution of comprehensive CRM projects, database profiling and identification of best customer segments, geo-demographic profiling and market segmentation analyses.
Over the past 15 years, Dr. Nigl has provided market research and statistical consulting services to an impressive list of international corporations including Microsoft, Deutsche Telekom, Disney, Vivendi-Universal, Seagrams, Toyota, Panasonic, Sony, Philips Electronics, Princess Cruises, Experian, Liberty Mutual, Aetna Insurance, Compaq Computers, Intel and others.
Dr. Nigl has published five textbooks and has more than 100 research publications to his credit. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and his doctorate from the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of both the American Association for the Advancement of Science (1977) and the New York Academy of Sciences (1978).
As Vice President of Operations, Mr. Thomas has successfully managed over fifteen campaigns in his three year tenure at Revonet. These campaigns include AnswerThink, Hewlett Packard, Hewlett Packard/PeopleSoft, Hewlett/Siebel, Hewlett Packard/Citrix, Hewlett Packard/Novell, Verizon, Siebel, Citrix, Microsoft, Monster.com, and Nortel.
Mr. Thomas has a strong technical sales and management background. He was the North Eastern Territory Manager for Acterna’s end user accounts, where he managed communications and network test equipment sales to major corporations, State and Federal government agencies, and the Department of Defense. As an officer with the United States Air Force, he commanded a Special Operations unit during Desert Storm. After his Air Force career, he became the Government Accounts Manager for Sencore Electronics (an electronics test equipment company), where he was responsible for hardware and Computer Based Training sales to the Department of Defense and Federal Government agencies. Mr. Thomas’ engineering and military backgrounds bring a successful mix of real-time analytical analysis and "make it happen" execution to the table.
Mr. Thomas graduated from the University of Alabama Huntsville with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
